MASTER
OF PASTORAL MINISTRY
EMPOWERING FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN LEADERS for every generation, culture, and community.
Greetings from Carey Theological College!
The Master of Pastoral Ministry is a program that provides foundational training for your ministry to your faith community. It closely integrates your study with your local ministry context, allowing you to reflect upon your learnings in a real-world ministry setting that is relevant to you. The work completed in the MPM is eligible for continued study in the Master of Divinity program – the normative degree for preparation toward ordained ministry.
I look forward to hearing how Carey can come alongside you as you labour for the Kingdom.

The Master of Pastoral Ministry (MPM) is a program that provides foundational training for your ministry to your faith community. It closely integrates your study with your local ministry context, allowing you to reflect upon your learnings in a real-world ministry setting that is relevant to you. The work completed in the MPM is eligible continued study in the Master of Divinity program – the normative degree for preparation toward ordained ministry.
We believe that faithful Christian leaders must be able to thoughtfully integrate theology, mission, and ministry.
Through the Master of Pastoral Ministry program, our faculty is committed to helping you become more:
... faithful and joyful in your ministry.
... thoughtful and intentional in how you allow theological concerns to inform matters in the real world.
... encouraged and hopeful as you pursue your vocational fit.
The MPM program is embedded into the life of the church and is best suited to students who are able to regularly act and reflect in the context of a ministry setting. It is normally only offered to those who will be in active ministry roles for the duration of the program.
